Ethiopian Army Chief Calls TPLF Leaders a ‘Criminal Clique’
November 5, 2025Devlet Bahçeli, leader of the Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi (MHP) and a key ally of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has strongly condemned the recent takeover of El Feşir in northern Sudan by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), describing the violence against civilians as “in a word, a massacre”.
Bahçeli’s statement noted that the RSF, which is engaged in conflict with the regular Sudanese army, appears to serve various tacit subcontracting networks with political and economic interests. He said the plight of defenseless and innocent people—subjected to cruelty barely short of that seen in Gaza—is deeply alarming. He also warned that these externally-pressured, bloody power struggles threaten not only Sudan’s sovereignty but also the territorial integrity of neighbouring states.
In his commentary, Bahçeli reaffirmed Turkey’s support for Sudan’s unity, internal peace and the rapid establishment of an environment of stability and tranquility in the country.
