Turkish Consul General in Hargeisa Meets Somaliland President to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation
November 4, 2025Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Monday called on the “Islamic world” to take action for tens of thousands of civilians trapped in the fighting in Sudan, particularly since the capture of the city of El-Fasher.
“No one with a heart, no one who is not stone-hearted, can bear the massacres targeting civilians in El-Fasher. We cannot remain silent,” the president said.
Speaking in Istanbul before the Economic Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) — which brings together 57 member countries — Erdoğan emphasized:
“The greatest responsibility to immediately stop the bloodshed in Sudan lies with the Muslim world.”
Calling for solidarity among Muslims in the face of the tragedy unfolding in the country, Erdoğan continued:
“We must preserve Sudan’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence,”
“and support the Sudanese people in these difficult times.”
He further added:
“As Muslims, we must solve our own problems instead of waiting for help from outside.”
