OPINION: Somalia Must Stay Neutral in UAE’s War Against Sudan
May 7, 2025Mogadishu – A new chapter is unfolding in Somali politics as the nation welcomes a newly launched political party named “Cadaaladda iyo Wadajirka” — meaning Justice and Unity.
The party’s logo features two hands shaking with a white dove carrying an olive branch between them, symbolizing peace, justice, and national unity. Radiating green rays above the emblem represent hope and a brighter future.
Party officials emphasize that unlike past hollow promises, this movement is committed to concrete action and inclusive politics. With the statement “Doorasho dadban waa la duugey” (Indirect elections are now buried), the party positions itself as a champion of direct democracy and public accountability.
This new political movement aims to be a turning point for lasting peace, national cohesion, and genuine democracy in Somalia.
