February 5, 2025Addis Ababa, February 5, 2025 — Ethiopia’s State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, met with the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic, Daniel Blazkovec, for talks on enhancing bilateral ties.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions focused on areas of shared interest between the two countries. Ambassador Mesganu emphasized the need to bolster cooperation, particularly in the defense sector, in order to further strengthen the already solid relations between Ethiopia and the Czech Republic.
The State Minister also highlighted the potential for Ethiopia to benefit from the Czech Republic’s advanced defense capabilities, encouraging the exploration of partnerships in training and technology transfer.
Deputy Minister Blazkovec expressed the Czech Republic’s eagerness to offer its extensive experience in the defense industry, particularly in training and technology sharing.
