January 30, 2025Addis Ababa – Türkiye’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ethiopia’s ruling Prosperity Party to strengthen inter-party and intergovernmental relations.
The agreement follows the historic diplomatic breakthrough that eased tensions between Ethiopia and Somalia, facilitated under the leadership of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Signed by AK Party representatives and Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister Adem Farah, the MoU aims to foster deeper political cooperation, promote shared experiences, and enhance bilateral ties between the two nations.
Officials expressed optimism that the agreement would further strengthen the friendship and collaboration between Türkiye and Ethiopia.
