The move comes amid accusations that the UAE has provided support to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan, a paramilitary group involved in the ongoing conflict.

Sources informed Emirates Leaks that the UAE government is alarmed by growing momentum in the U.S. Congress for sanctions aimed at Abu Dhabi, fearing that such measures could damage its international standing and complicate its relationships due to its alleged backing of armed militias.
